All employees at Mario’s Bowling and Family Entertainment Palace will be Cross Trained. Cross training is training an employee to do a different part of the organization's work. Training worker A to do the task that worker B does and training B to do A's task is cross training. Cross training is good for management and the employees it lets them learn new skills, makes them more valuable, and can combat worker boredom.

While performing the duties of your job, an employee is required to:

  • Walk/Stand 100% of the time during a shift.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs and use hands to handle or feel.
  • Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be Prepared to work in an “Always Means Fun” atmosphere.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a bowling center environment where high levels of noise, dust and activity can be expected. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

We are currently hiring: Team Lead, Group Event Sales Coordinator, Birthday Party Host, Lane Captain ,Front Desk Greeters, Lead Cook, Cooks, VIP Host/Hostess , Restaurant Server, Bartenders, Stewards, Housekeeping/Cleaner, Mechanics, Pinspotter Technician, Game Room Technician, IT Operations Unit Support Technician

The Team Lead is responsible for executing the highest standards of shift performance during non-peak periods. Working with fellow employees, peers and management staff to continually improve, communicate and execute shift objectives (during non-peak periods) is a key component to a Team Lead position.

Group Event Sales Coordinator, Category: Sales / Marketing - Type: Full Time
Description: Responsible for sales administrative duties. Coordinates group event details with clients and center employees to ensure client satisfaction. Creates and maintains birthday party reservations.

Event & Party Host: Are you always the "Life of the Party"? If you are, come host a few parties for us! We need folks that love to be with others, and are "laser focused" on making the party a great time. If that sounds like fun, consider applying for a Events & Party Host position.  Parties & events for children, teenagers, adults, groups and cooperation’s.

The Lane Captain facilitates our customers’ bowling, dining and entertainment experience by providing superior service and attention to an assigned number of lanes.  Establishes rapport with customers as their personal interface with all aspects of the center during their visit and ensures that all products and services meet quality standards.

The Front Desk Greeter is the initial point of contact and serves as the “information center” by educating our customers about our bowling, dining and entertainment product offerings. Sets the tone for our customers experience by providing a great “First Impression.”

The Lead Cook acts as a leader in the kitchen, assists in some management duties and prepares and serves food for customers.

The Cook prepares and serves food for customers in an efficient and pleasant manner following Centers standards.

VIP Host/Hostess/ Restaurant Server / Bartenders: Restaurant Server must be 18 years and older, Bartenders 21 and older. Experience Preferred. Excellent customer service skills are a must.

VIP Host/Hostess for Elements Lounge: Greets and serve lounge guests in a friendly and courteous manner. Arranges for prompt seating of guests in order of arrival or availability of seating accommodations. Quotes accurate waiting times, and seats guests when tables are available and maintains cleanliness of menus. Maintains the appropriate supplies needed for the proper performance of duties. Familiarizes self with, and adheres to, the principles of ELEMENTS and the interactive mobility to move quickly and easily around the lounge for an 8 hour shift. Literate and fluent in English with above average communication skills. Accurate in the handling of money. Dexterity to use computerized cash register with legible handwriting.

Restaurant Server Key responsibilities of the role include: Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner. Prepare food and beverages for service to center guests and present food according to established health and presentation standards.

The Bartender prepares and serves food, alcohol, and other beverages to customers in an efficient and pleasant manner and according to Center standards.

The Steward serves a multi-functional role in the Food and Beverage Department. This role is responsible for assisting the kitchen and bar staff in sanitation, cleanliness, appearance maintenance and supporting tasks, such as, restocking, serving and “running”.

Housekeeping/Cleaners: Perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain commercial establishments, in a clean and orderly manner.

The Mechanic repairs and maintains automatic Pinspotters / Pinsetters, Lane and scoring equipment, building and all other bowling center equipment at the highest level of operating proficiency. Performs preventive maintenance, cleaning and /or minor repairs as directed by the center Facility manager.

Pinspotter Technician: General maintenance of pinspotters and bowling lanes. Light maintenance for the rest of the building. Must have Pinspotter experience and excellent customer service skills.

Game Room Technician: Maintain and Repair Arcade Games in the entertainment center to ensure maximum uptime and profitability. In addition to technical aptitude, the technician must have highly effective communication and organizational skills.

IT Operations Unit Support Technician: The IT Operations Unit Support Technician will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of computer network administration, desktop computer systems, and support the IT Operation Engineering group.
